I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. My father's passion for wildlife and wide open spaces became my craving while living in the bustling cities of London and New York. My mother’s career in fashion design career ignited an interest for playing with fabrics and colours from a young age. My sister, while beautifully gentle, always contributed humour and playfulness. I have managed to live abroad for the past six years - working in an unpredictable, exciting industry - thanks to their constant support, a grounded upbringing, and a wonderfully adventurous and my adventurous childhood.
After school I studied at The University of Cape Town finishing an undergraduate in HR, Org Psych and Labour Law followed by a postgraduate in Enterprise Management. The year after my studies I spent a few months in Germany before settling in London for five years. In March 2013 I made the move to New York which has been such an incredible new chapter to my life. I am so unbelievably lucky to have met the most extraordinary people along the way. Friends who have become family, intellects who have taught me, eccentrics who have fascinated me and hearts so caring, loving and kind they keep your faith in humanity.
I have been practicing Vedic meditation for the past three years. The Veda is the body of knowledge from ancient India that is the source of Yoga, Mediation and Ayurvedic medicine, and is the basis of Indian Philosophy. Since I've been meditating I've also become very interested in yoga which when combined with pilates helps me keep in shape.
When I'm not working I enjoy making my way to different music and art festivals. I love wide open spaces so when I'm in South Africa I try spend as much time as possible in the bushveld or in Dullstroom flyfishing. Even though I travel a lot for work, every year I try take a holiday and venture to at least one new part of the world. All this said a lazy brunch or night in on the couch with a good series and take aways is always a good way for me to unwind.

I've always been interested in wildlife and traveling Africa while also enjoying my time in fast-paced cities. Art, music, good food, the company of friends and many hours FaceTiming/skyping my loved ones abroad is how I spend my spare time.
Dullstroom is a small flyfishing village in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It's a beautifully, peaceful part of the world with gorgeous mountain views and plenty of quiet, still dams to fish from. Dullstroom is on the panorama route, it sits halfway from Johannesburg to the Kruger National park. It has the highest train station at 2,077 m above sea level and is the perfect stopping point if you are travelling to the Kruger National Park.
There's no way to describe this incredible place. However this little video sums it up quite nicely x

It looks like someone in Seattle is selling a yoga mat for $1. The mat was only used once and comes along with this hilarious usage timeline detailing the seller's experience in a hot yoga class. (Not such a good experience).
